Hi! I'm Jeff, and I love making and programming games! I'm currently in my third year at the University of Central Florida studying Game Design. Video games have always been one of the biggest things in my life, and I've always been fascinated by their ability to immerse players, bring people together, and bring about good in the world.
My time as a programmer on the games team at Limbitless Solutions, a non-profit that creates bionic prosthetic arms for children with limb differences, has shown me just that - how games can be used for good. I've helped build training games that utilize electromyography flex technology as a control scheme to train prosthetic use. This position has granted me invaluable professional experience and taught me how to work around specific constraints and goals, as well as teaching me just how rewarding game development can be.
As a programmer, I am passionate about designing and implementing unique gameplay systems that tread new ground and provide new experiences to players. I love creating clean, modular code that facilitates experimentation, iteration, and creation of new and fun gameplay ideas. I currently specialize in Unity and C# but will be learning other engines and languages as I continue my studies, such as Unreal Engine (and C++) and Godot.
When I'm not making games, I'm likely playing one! I have a great childhood fondness for titles like Super Smash Brothers, Pokémon, and Minecraft. In more recent years, games such as Outer Wilds, Hollow Knight, and Risk of Rain have become some of my all-time favorites and helped light my passion for making games myself. Aside from gaming, I love making soup, walking through nature, and doing just about anything with friends and family.
